Xaoc Devices give the ultra Nerds Rostock - a FIFO shift register with variable length (1-64 stages).
Important: Rostock is a part of the Leibniz Binary Subsystem. It MUST be connected to another module of this series (ideally: Drezno (II)). You may have seen the modus operandi of a shift register before. BBD Delays or Analog Shift Registers work in a similar manner. With each clock tick, data is passed on to the next stage - until it falls out the back and is "forgotten". In the case of the Rostock these are ones and zeros, which can represent rhythms, CVs, audio-rate signals or even video signals depending on the integration. The module is easily clockable up to 2Mhz. In principle it is a very short delay or a very small memory, but it can also be looped or fed back. With creative patching techniques you can build chaos/random generators, sequence automations etc. out of it. Especially since each of the bit lines has its own clock input. Mighty, but also mighty abstract.
