All of our modified pedals are warrantied as new! 

By design the stock pedal rolls off bass as the gain is turned up. This makes the pedal a bit treble heavy when the gain is up. This will also cause much less clipping than one would expect when the gain is turned up.  
We started by replacing key stock capacitors and resistors with high quality/low noise metal film components, some of a different value. The result is a warmer, fuller pedal with more available distortion. This pedal also cleans up nicely.

We could have stopped there with the mods, but there is more: 
- We swapped out the foot switch for a 3PDT, then we re-wired this pedal for true bypass.
- We also drilled and installed an LED. The LED is clear when the effect is off, and a very noticeable yellow when it is switched on, and a very noticeable yellow when the effect is switched on. I don't normally use yellow LEDs, but I think it looks good on a black pedal with gold lettering...don't you?
- We also took out that 1/8 inch power jack, drilled the hole out to 1/2 inch, and installed a standard 9 volt DC jack. No need to buy more batteries or use a different type of adapter. But yes, you can still use a battery if you prefer.

This modified pedal now sounds good with all music types, but check out the video (last pic). Not everyone can shred like Doug, but we challenge you to find a better sounding pedal . Please use headphones.

I did a short test run with the pedal already. To my ears it´s much beefier and bass responsive than the non modded pedal. I also really like the way you seamlessly built in the LED.

I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you about the YJM308 I bought a while back. I finally got my power supply today and WOW, brace yourself for some epic feedback. The modification you made to this pedal is absolutely stunning!! I've heard samples of a standard YJM308 and liked how smooth it is, but your mod gave me a much cleaner boost with less static and perpetually improved my signature tone! This pedal is a killer addition to my rig and I'm never leaving home without it. I can't begin to explain my gratitude for your awesome work on this pedal.
