Fender DG-22CE SB Acoustic

As much as I enjoy Fender guitars and amps, I will admit to never having given serious thought or consideration to their acoustics. But, over the last several weeks, we've gotten in a few Fender acoustics that are forcing me to reevaluate my opinion on these things. They're really nice! This DG-22CE is a perfect example. This baby is constructed with a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, Fishman electronics and a lightly figured maple top, back and sides. It's also finished in a beautiful, rich sunburst. It really looks the part of a high end acoustic. Of course, looks don't mean a thing if she ain't got that swing. And swing she does! It's nice and present with clear, sweet high end that never sounds brittle or harsh. This DG projects very well and has good volume. It's also a really great player that has a medium to full "C" neck profile and a low string action for a real "squishy" feel. Of course, good guitars get played and this one shows a bit of wear. There are dings, chips, pick scratches, swirls, impressions, etc. No breaks or cracks are present, though. The high E tuner was replaced with a non-matching chrome unit rather than gold. This is a great buy as this DG-22CE can hold it's own in a tonal face off with guitars costing 3 to 4 times as much.
