Vintage Colorsound Jumbo Tonebender, 1980 - This is a magnificent vintage example of the original Jumbo Tonebender produced by Colorsound through the 1970’s and briefly into the 1980’s. With a silicon-transistor circuit related to the Big Muff, it can produce a wall of fuzz but has a wide usable range on the fuzz and bass/treble controls.

This pedal is in fantastic original condition and is the final cosmetic version with the black-and-gold design. These were produced in black and silver enclosures, with the silver version seemingly the rarest one. As this pedal shows, Colorsound were repurposing boxes between different pedal models, here using the enclosure that was drilled for their flanger. The additional hole in the side has the original plastic plug/cover. These late-production pedals are also the only version to have an input for a power supply. The pedal can be powered either by an external power supply or a 9-volt battery.

This pedal has very few marks and scratches and has its original battery cover. Please see the photos, as these form an essential part of the description. The footswitch and pots work as they should, with minimal crackle. Unlike most examples, it comes with its original box, which is also in excellent condition.
