Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast G2 is a powerful camera designed for both traditional and online broadcasters. It features a 3 cameras in 1 design which allows it to work as a 4K production camera, a 4K studio camera, or a 6K digital film camera! You can record to common SD cards, UHS-II cards, CFast 2.0 cards, or external USB disks, using common file formats such as H.265, ProRes, and Blackmagic RAW. You can even change the lens mount making it extremely flexible!

URSA Broadcast G2 features high-quality neutral density (ND) filters that let you quickly reduce the amount of light entering the camera. The ¼, 1/16th, and 1/64th stop filters have been designed to match the image sensor and color science of URSA Broadcast G2, providing extra latitude and better colorimetry. The IR filters have been created to evenly filter both optical and IR wavelengths, eliminating IR contamination.

URSA Broadcast G2 is made from a strong, lightweight magnesium alloy body that’s designed to be comfortable all-day use. It features externally mounted switches and controls that give you direct access to critical camera settings. Also featured is a foldout touchscreen for monitoring, viewing camera status, and changing settings by screen menus.

With Blackmagic OS, you get a user-friendly camera operating system. Blackmagic OS allows all camera features to run independently for smoother control. It features the same controls and menus as other Blackmagic Design cameras so you can switch between cameras on set easily. The interface uses simple tap and swipes gestures to adjust settings, add metadata and view recording status. You also have full control over advanced camera features such as on-screen focus and exposure tools, 3D LUTs, HDR, metadata entry, timecode, and Blackmagic RAW settings.

All URSA cameras support a variety of battery plates from manufacturers including IDX, Blueshape, Anton Bauer, and more. A V-Lock battery plate is installed on the camera but can be changed to an optional Blackmagic URSA Gold Battery Plate. All Blackmagic battery plates are designed to mount directly onto the camera. The URSA Broadcast G2 includes a 4-pin XLR power connector that supports 12V to 18V for connecting external power supplies and battery packs. With its standard power connector, you can use the camera with your existing power supplies and batteries. For live production, the optional add-on fiber converter can power the camera from up to 2 km away via a single SMPTE fiber cable!
