Ultra‑rare Fender Custom Shop George Fullerton Prototype Stratocaster, part of a limited run of only 30 guitars ever produced. This is one of the most accurate tributes to the early Stratocaster prototypes designed by George Fullerton himself, featuring period‑correct specs, a nitro finish, and the highly sought‑after hand‑wound Abigail Ybarra pickups.
This guitar has been professionally serviced by Lay’s Guitar Shop in Akron, OH, one of the most respected restoration shops in the country. Work included a full fret file, crown, polish, and complete setup, ensuring it plays cleanly across the entire neck with excellent intonation and feel. Documentation from Lay’s is included for buyer confidence.
The guitar is original, except new bone nut added by Lay's (original in case) and comes with its original case, COA, floor shop traveler and all factory materials. These almost never come up for sale, and examples with verified Abby pickups and documented pro service are even harder to find.
If you’re a Custom Shop collector, Fullerton historian, or someone who wants a truly special Stratocaster, this is the one. The link shows the write up on this guitar when it was serviced. Also, this guitar is a slight relic with significant factory lacquer checking. Beautiful 10/56 v neck profile.
