The Mod-D (Modified Dreadnought) is a thoughtfully scaled-down interpretation of the traditional dreadnought body, redesigned for enhanced comfort—especially for seated playing—without sacrificing depth or power.

Conceived as a fingerstyle player’s dream, the Mod-D delivers an immense, piano-like low end paired with exceptionally fat, rounded trebles, creating a full, balanced voice with remarkable presence and articulation.

Unlike the traditional 12-fret neck joint common to many guitars of this style, the Mod-D features a 14-fret neck joint, offering improved upper-fret access while maintaining the warmth and responsiveness associated with larger body guitars.

Crafted with a Sinker Cedar top and Old Growth Indian Rosewood back and sides—notably dark with tight, close grain—the instrument produces a rich, mature tone with outstanding sustain and harmonic complexity. The soundboard is braced with Spruce, while the back bracing is Mahogany, contributing to both structural integrity and tonal balance.
