Hondo Alien Headless 4- string bass 1980's -Duke Copy Black 30.5" scale w/OHSC

Here we have a pre owned Hondo Alien 40 string headless bass.  Made in the 1980's.  30.5" scale length. The Alien bass is a copy of the Kramer  "Duke" bass.  It features an Aluminum neck with wood sides for the real feel.  It has a double J pickup, Volume, Tone, and a mini toggle switch. It has a Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.  The tuning machines are at the bottom of the bass. The bass has a Schaller or Schaller style bridge on it with moveable string spacing saddles. The bass has just been setup by our technician and is playing great.  Strung with D'Addario 45-100's and is playing great.   The neck is straight and the frets are in great shape with minimal signs of wear.   All electronics are working as they should and it has no issues.    Cosmetically, the bass has some nicks, marks, scuffs, belt buckle, and light indents. There is some finishing shrinking on the back of the neck where the wood and aluminum are joined. Doesn't affect playing but you can feel it slightly.  Hey, it is 40 years old.   The bass comes with its original hardshell case which is also in very good condition.   All hinges and latches working nicely.  A few spots of tolex peel but nothing that some glue can fix.  All in all, it's a blast from the past.   A solid import made Kramer Duke copy that rocks.   Thanks for looking and happy buying!
