Check out this awesome blast from the past! This is a beautiful example of the limited edition commemorative reverse firebird in it's first year of production. The Thunderbird Bicentennial Bass was built between 1976 and 1979 for a total production run of 1,855 units to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence. Highly distinctive, the Thunderbird Bicentennial is based on the 1963 Thunderbird ‘reverse’ models. However, it carries a newer three-point bridge and the pickguard has an engraved red, white and blue Thunderbird in sejant erect position with ‘1976’ below the bird.

Condition: This bass is in very good condition for its age. At some point in it's life the pickups were swapped out for a set of Bartolini's earlier design pickups called HI-A. They are a higher output pickup. The strap pin has been relocated and the original hole filled. The is some wear to the back center ridge as shown in the photos. The bass is set up very well with new strings and with very minimal fret wear. Please see photos for detailed aesthetic condition.
