FINAL PRICE DROP ! I'll keep playing until it goes eventually !
L2000s come in two
varieties, the squier-like Tributes and the real ones. But then you
have the customized real ones. This is it. It has a factory ordered
tru-oiled birseye maple neck that is, point blank, the best bass neck
I ever set my hands on. Gorgeous, too : the deep roasted honey
hue with the aged nickel tuners is a high end affair, reminscent of
the look on the David Gilmour Custom shop Strats. Body is premium swamp ash.
The action is very slick. Nut width is 1 11/16th. And it's a lefty to boot! Body is in great shape, too. The
unplugged tone is very rich, it evokes the sound of an upright bass
in certain registers (B, for example). It is the kind of super sturdy bass that
you tune the strings on every second month or so. You know the kind.
You can read all about
how versatile this bass is... Active-passive electronics with full
eq's, pickup combinations, wow, if you can't the tone you're after
with this instrument... This is definitely the instrument I would
take on an arena stage if Katy Perry ever called (why doen't she,
darn!)
I don't usually change
strings on the basses I sell because each bass player prefers his own
make/style. This one however has a set of fresh d'Addario nickels,
since it is my main gigging bass as we speak (hands down). But
business is business, I will gladly let her go to a new home and go back to my trusty JB !
Comes with original case
and paperwork.
