First time, I brought this up on the dim bulb tester and put a Russian Tung-Sol in the 12AX7 spot. Now it sounds great with a cheap guitar in the 1/4" phone mic jack, with a little raw & ready hum. I did not adjust the hum pot. Can get REALLY loud.
