For sale a Wilkinson original VS100N 2-Point non-locking Tremolo Bridge in black, this bridge was removed from a 1996 Charvel Custom USA, it includes everything in the photos, does not include the tremolo springs.

• Height adjustable saddles w/ set screws to lock down the intonation

• 2 and 1/8 inch string spread
• 2 and 3/16 inch stud spacing
• Adjustment screw for arm tension

VS100N VIBRATO

The VS100N vibrato is the classic design that was launched in 1986, and the design that stands for quality in all areas.

Conceived and created by Trev Wilkinson, this timeless piece of engineering broke new ground in the field of guitar hardware and along with the legendary Roller Nut established the Wilkinson brand as a premium hardware company that is now over 35 years old, and a company that is still creating innovative and exciting hardware for the modern and vintage guitar player alike.

The VS100N is still the choice for many premium guitar builders, hardly surprising when you consider that thousands of units have been sold and are used and abused by guitar players who require tuning stability everyday!

ZINC BLOCK

The vibrato bridge block is the anchor point for both the strings and the adjustment springs in the rear cavity.

Being the central point of the vibrato system it does have a tonal influence, and that tone will ultimately be different dependant on the material used to create the block.

Billet Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Titanium and Zinc have and are used for vibrato blocks and the debate about which is best will no doubt continue for years.

The Wilkinson perspective is that we predominately use billet steel and Zinc for both the tonal properties and also the qualities of machining, in the case of the VS100N we utilise Zinc.

STABLE AND COMPACT

The VS100N utilises our original 2 pivot knife edge for incredible tuning stability, with its half moon locating pivot and alternate straight knife edge offering virtually friction free movement.

Although the VS100N is very compact it still has plenty of movement in each saddle for perfect intonation of the players personal string gauge, and its recessed string top plate string entry/exit holes ensure that string breakage is drastically reduced at this critical point where the string is at its greatest tension.
