This listing is for a very rare early 1960's Gibson Byrdland Thinline Guitar Case. This case was made by Gibson in the early 1960's and has a Gibson logo by the handle and black pebble exterior tolex. The case has an 17.5" lower bout so I believe the only model this would be correct for would be an early Byrdland or ES-350T model with a 17" lower bout.

The case is somewhat rough but still in good functional condition. The handle is original and all the latches are intact and working. The exterior certainly shows its age and has lots of nicks and dings and scratches. The edges are taped with black tape. The interior of the case is somewhat better shape but also still shows wear. The string that holds keeps the top lid from flopping over has been replaced and the string used is just a hair too short so the top lid will not stand open. This could be very easily fixed by changing the string.

The exact internal dimensions are as follows

Lower Bout is 17.5" inches when measured inside the case.

Upper Bout is 13.5" inches

Length is 43.5" inches

Please look at the pictures and message with questions.

Thanks for looking,
