We bought 6 of these, 2 or 3 were blown (still have them and I would let them go for shipping charges as they are too cool to throw away) and sold a couple here, for surprisingly big money. This one sounds great, I think it is a recone. It has a couple small repaired tears in the surround, but doesn't seem to affect the sound. The folks that get excited over these told me they were Alnico magnets and they really loved these speakers. They do sound awesome! We cranked it up with a 20 watt tube head and sounded great. They weigh a hair over 30 pounds boxed, I have sold a couple and ran 30ish dollars to the eastern part of the US. Thanks for looking!
