1968 Gibson SG Standard -- with original case. I purchased used in 1976.

Sale price for a limited time.

I would call it very good condition except this beauty needs a setup and intonation and hasn't been done in a very long time. The wiring probably needs to be checked too. I'm the second owner and the original owner removed the PU covers and lost them. I've never had an issue with them.

I played and gigged with this guitar hard in the late seventies and early eighties. It was my only guitar until I borrowed an LP while the headstock was repaired. The tuning pegs were also replaced because the original helped the guitar get out of tune quickly.

Frets are original. They are in good shape for my playing style and ability.

Notes: Will ship the fastest available for the cost after materials. Next Day/One Day shipping isn't available for this item.

Note of interest: I've received feedback this may be a 1970 model because of the parts on this guitar. This may be true. However, I had been in a contact with a former Gibson employee that thinks he may have set up this guitar personally before it was shipped. He said it was a 1968 model based on his note for the serial number.

New: I am seeing in other markets (not on Reverb) that a 1968 SG is running ~$8000.00.
