This Jazz Bass neck is in pretty good overall playing shape, but is priced according to its condition. Do not expect it to be a simple "drop in and play" neck unless you like your action a bit higher than standard.
The neck has a slight bow and was likely kept at or beyond full tension for an extended period. The truss rod does turn and works, it is not maxed out - but the extent to which the bow can be remedied is unknown. When we disassembled the bass this came off of, it was playing nicely with a fair amount of relief after a cursory setup. If that's your preference, then you're in business, but please purchase with the understanding that it may need a heat press in the future to be straightened fully.
Update: After a few days off tension and in light of previous truss adjustments, the bow has improved. Because the neck has not been tested at full tension however, we are leaving the price and condition the same. Please purchase with the same understanding as noted above.
Beyond the bow, it has some standard playwear - frets show some light wear and there's a handful of nicks and dings primarily on and around the headstock. The fingerboard is a bit grimy and could use a good cleaning.
Please refer to photos for exact condition and ask all questions prior to purchase. No returns accepted.
