A Beautiful Sonor 5x14 Snare from the Early 70’s. Recently Reconditioned.
This is a Chrome (or Nickel) over Aluminum Alloy Drum. Basically the Sonor version of the Supraphonic.
It Came to Me Years Ago with the Ludwig Strainer and Butt Plate.
Completely Disassembled, Polished, all Threads Chased, Replaced Hardware Where Necessary, Assembled with Low Strength Lock-tite. Installed Vintage Ludwig Snare Wires and Ludwig Snare Cord. Original Sonor Muffler works Perfectly. Added Sonor Nylon Lug Washers. A Few Small Pitts under The Plating and Some Non-Stock Holes Behind the Strainer. But in Phenominal Condition for Its Age. I Mentioned Nickel Because the Finish is So Rich it Could be.
Please, any Sonor Gurus Inform Me on That. And She is Topped off With the Requisite Coated Emporer and Ambassador Snare Head.
