We just received about 120 basses, guitars and amps from Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith. Tom is a founding member of Aerosmith. After 50 years in one of the hardest touring bands ever, he’s accumulated so much gear that’s he’s asked us to help put it in the hands of people who can dig in on it as much as he has. This gear has made rock and roll history on the world’s largest stages and most intense studio scrutiny. Now it’s your turn to take it, and make your own rock history.

G&L basses are Tom's "go-to" basses these days. He also seems to have a soft spot for sunbursts. This L-2000 is in near new condition. It was amongst Tom's Aerosmith touring gear so I have to guess this was one of his touring back-up basses. We even found a business card in the case from 48th Street Custom Guitars in NYC where Tom bought his first G&L over 20 years ago.

The guitar is identified by an Aerosmith inventory tag. It includes a hard case, one of Tom Hamilton's custom bass pics and a certificate of authenticity signed by Tom Hamilton, plus the 48th Street Custom Guitars business card.

Question in Bass Player Magazine, Tom Hamilton: "Why choose G&L for your signature bass?". "G&L was one of Leo Fender’s companies, so a lot of his viewpoint on sound comes through. I like active basses, and the neck on the ASAT is slender like a Jazz. All of the G&L stuff is such high quality, and they look really cool. I like that the company likes to stick to its mission; I don’t feel them trying to expand and cash in."
