SKR 5 string Headless bass guitar

Howdy, This is a headless 5 string electric bass prototype that I designed and built. The Sitdowner style is designed to be played while sitting down. They hang just fine from a strap for stand up playing. The large front lower bout sits on the left leg and the rear cutaway rests on the right leg. The end result is the A MOST COMFORTABLE "sit down" experience.

THERE IS A HOLE FILLED WITH A PEARL DOT AND A TINY PINHOLE BY THE BRIDGE. From a tele plate type bridge that didn't work out. The guitar is grounded to the wrap tube.

Details: All solid figured Maple with a Santos Rosewood center beam and bridge

Body: Neck thru type. All flamed Maple with Spruce and Cedar back plates. Maple live edge at top and

bottom.

Neck: 3 pcs. Maple-Rosewood-Maple. Fan neck with c shape. No binding. No trussrod

d. The neck has a 1/32 in. relief at the 6th fret. This massive 3 pcs. neck thru design will never warp.

Fretboard: Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) with inlayed solid Ebony pos. markers. Jumbo frets and bone nut and saddle.

Pickup: 1 Sentell custom hand wound 5 pole. Neck position. Simple volume & tone controls. GREAT pickup!

ALL CAVITIES ARE COPPER LINED &GROUNDED

headless: Brass string tree bone nut. Rosewood bridge, bone compensated saddle. Stainless steel wrap tube. Ibanez tuners

Finish: Gloss Nitro cellulose lacquer.

Case: Lightly padded Generic used gig bag.

The bass plays great. with low action. I am NOT a bass player so you may have to tweak the set up to your tastes by adjusting the saddle height. That is the only adjustment.

When you sit down with this guitar it all makes sense, the most comfortable thing you've ever cuddled.
