This Japanese made Elger is part of an historically significant guitar movement that dates back to the late 1950's.  Elger intruments were a guitar manufacturing company from Pennsylvania whose primary role in the market at the time was to one up Martin guitars.  Unable to keep up with the demand for US manufactured guitars at the time Elger began outsourcing their guitar designs to Hoshino Gakki which would eventually be the manufacturer of Ibanez guitars.  The guitar features high quality construction and is a great player.  Such a great way to own a part of guitar history for a remarkably affordable price.  Includes hardshell case
