Here we have a Vintage Ludwig 1970s Supraphonic 5x14" Snare Drum in good condition! The Ludwig Supraphonic is on of the most recorded snare drums in history due to its highly sought after aluminum, single beed shell.
This snare drum is in overall good condition! The shell is in the round, the hoops seat well and all of the hardware is functional. The P-85 snare throw off works properly. It was previously bent outward but we were able to straighten it as best we could. All of the lugs and tension rods hold their tuning and function as they should. The exterior of this snare drum exhibits some ware and tear. The chrome finish has a light dusting of scratches and a few small rust spots here and there, but there is minimal pitting in the chrome.
Overall this snare drum tunes up great and sounds just like classic Supraphonics should! This snare drum would make for a great players drum or studio work horse. It comes with the lightly used heads and snare wires in the pictures. Feel free to give us a call with any questions!
