The JBL SRX828SP 18-Inch Dual Self-Powered Subwoofer System is a highly flexible, easy to use, 2000W powered subwoofer for large-scale live performance systems, mobile and fixed DJ systems, sound system rental and touring companies, and permanent installations.
The subwoofer is designed for use with the SRX815P and SRX835P speakers, but can also complement any full-range system. It incorporates V5 JBL tunings, providing compatibility with the flagship Vertex and VTX touring systems. The unit can be used in a variety of configurations including clusters, stereo ground stacks, and cardioid deployment. When used with main speakers, a pair of SRX828SP subwoofers are well equipped to cover an audience of 300 to 400.
The rear panel provides access to a full suite of user-controllable DSP driven by the SRX800 series powerful onboard 400 MHz Sharc DSP and includes 20 PEQ's, 2 seconds of delay, signal generators, input mixing, amplifier monitoring, and 50 user presets.
The subwoofer has two mono line inputs, each with a combo XLR-1/4" connector as well as a master volume knob for the overall level. The two mono inputs are mixed to a mono signal internally, while two XLR loop-thru outputs allow you to route the signal to additional SRX800 series speakers for extending the mono signal for better coverage. The highly efficient 2000W Class-D amplifier powers both 18" woofers, which provides a sub-frequency range of 35 to 120 Hz with a sound pressure level powerful enough to ensure the entire audience can hear your performance.
Simple wired control is provided via Ethercon connector and third-party wireless router capability is included. Control options include Audio Architect, HiQnet Motion Control iOS app, and standalone applications for iOS and Android. The SRX828SP ships with a power cord.
