Gibson made these special prop guitars for each member of Aerosmith to "play" in the Guitar Hero video game green screen capture sessions. In these sessions they captured each band member's movements used in the creation of their animated versions seen in the Guitar Hero video game. Tom Hamilton can be seen "playing" this Gibson Sunburst Thunderbird prop bass in the Guitar Hero Aerosmith Behind the Scenes video below. His animated character plays an identical animated Thunderbird created from the green screen capture sessions.

The light weight foam core body is covered with a digital image of a Gibson Thunderbird bass and fitted with actual control knobs and tuning pegs. It even has the original Gibson hardshell case.

It remains in excellent condition however shows minor signs of wear. The guitar is identified by an Aerosmith inventory tag. It includes one of Tom Hamilton's custom bass pics and a certificate of authenticity signed by Tom Hamilton.
