Amplifier Details

Model: Marshall JMP 1992 Super Bass (1968/69)

Originality: Until April 2024, all original components and circuitry except for Bulgin mains socket replaced with IEC in the 1990s for safety and compliance. In April 2024, R&CC carried out sensitive replacements and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and long-term reliability.

Latest service (Apr 2024):

• Conducted by Marshall Amplification
• Mains and screen filter capacitors replaced with ARS equivalents (Marshall 1959HW stock cans)
• Phase inverter filter cap upgraded from 32uF to 50uF ARS can
• Bias trim pot added for precise valve bias adjustment
• Indicator lamp barrel repaired by R&CC; knob replaced where cap was missing

Valves: Tested on AVO VCM MKIII, all meet or exceed original test book specs.

Cabinet Details

Model: Marshall 1935B (Basketweave fret cloth, near mint condition):

Originality: Barely used since 1969, stored carefully under original vinyl cover. Castors not present. Two speakers are not stock to this cab and predate it by a year.

Loaded with:

• 2 x 1968 Celestion T1511 speakers with Pulsonic cones (unbroken-in).
• 2 x 1967 Celestion T1281 speakers with Pulsonic cones (G12M labels, likely from the original stock T1511s).

R&CC servicing includes:

• Internal cleaning of one T1281 to correct voice coil rub.
• Where spiders were lifting on two T1511s: removal of spider adhesive, re-centering cones, re-gluing spiders and dust caps for optimal performance.

Model: Marshall 1935 Cabinet (well-used gig cabinet):

Originality: Vinyl cover not present. Castors not present. Shows wear consistent with heavy gig use (vinyl missing on rear panel & base).

Loaded with:

• 4 x 1968 Celestion T1511 speakers with Pulsonic cones

R&CC servicing includes:

• Internal cleaning of one T1511 to correct voice coil rub.
