AUDIOLAB 8000C pre and 8000P power amps - quality British vintage amplifiers with MM/MC phono inputs, built in England by Cambridge Systems Technology Ltd.
A classic pre & power combo that's comfortably able to drive most loudspeaker loads for high performance stereo applications.
Both pre and power amps are in very good condition, except for the ground sleeve on the pre-amp's CD right input, which became detached. However, with the multitude of input sockets on offer this should not really be an issue.
The incorporated phono inputs provide pre-amps for both moving magnet and moving coil turntable cartridges.
Using high-class components throughout and powered by weighty toroidal transformers, these amps were still hand-build for serious listening and hence sound and feel reassuringly solid. Included in the sale are Rhapsody pre-to-power interconnects and mains cables.
