On offer today is this vintage beauty: a stunning 1962 Gibson ES-175D in its original sunburst with all the updates you want for modern playability. An archtop straight from Gibson's golden age — coming to a stage (or living room) near you.
This fully hollow tone machine weighs in at 6.1 pounds and delivers all the jazz, blues, soul, funk, R&B, and even rock tones you want.
Plays great with a fresh refret (6150 wire), which makes string bending a dream. Has low action and is currently set up with extra-light round-wounds).
Tune-o-matic bridge currently installed for spot on intonation, but will include vintage Brazillian rosewood bridge for all the purists out there.
Full specs of this beauty are below, and feel free to message me with any questions (or if you need additional photos or a poorly recorded demo).
Get the real deal vintage for the price of a modern reissue/custom shop/replica (if you can even find one).

Updates:
As is so often the case with these old beauties, the original PAFs, electronics, and plastics were harvested by a prior owner (due to their astronomical price tags in this zany world). But with top notch replacement components, you can get the tone at a fraction of the price of a collector's grade piece:
-Grover Rotomatic Tuners
-Vintage, era-correct rosewood bridge (sourced from Vintage Correct Parts)
-Seymour Duncan Antiquities PAF replacements
-CTS pots
-Replaced plastics and hardware
-New hardshell case
-Tune-o-matic bridge currently in use
(Why would I sell, you might ask? Well, the opportunity to snag a Clapton-spec 1964 ES-335 only comes along so often. I suggest you take it, even if it means other greats must go. See my other listings before I come to my senses...)
Note: for those who may be less familiar with what these beauties are capable of, check out some of the fine videos Carter Vintage has posted on YouTube with some real pros (like JD Simo, Kirk Fletcher, and Guthrie Trapp) putting them through their paces.
Additional note: I’ve included pictures with both the old bridge installed as well as with the tune-o-matic and fresh refret.
