Check out the video demo. You can get most of these sounds plugging straight in, but I used the little ART preamp for some extra volume the strat might not have over other hotter output guitars. But gives you an idea of the drive characteristics even on clean tones.

I switched the P10N Jensen for a while, and had a ceramic Jensen in it, but the P10n was more efficient, so it went back in.

It's a really beautiful, great sounding amp.... True class a output, Basic and built like a tank... With easy to overdrive sound., Yeah, it's not deafeningly loud, But that's kind of the idea... It gets pretty loud... If you play it for a 1/2 hour and you're close to it, it'll make your ears ring... The idea is it records really great... The overdrive characteristics are spongy and kind of resemble across between a Marshall and Vox AC30 when you record them... But with a little more hair on top, but a littLe EQ shows the great tones, from the class a spongy amp and because of the efficiency of the speaker... it all sounds great on tape or on pro tools... It's just got great visuals and looks and sounds the part! A real vintage amp with real vantage tone nothing surface mount... Nothing boutique... as Johnny Cash said, It's not so much about the abilities as much as it is about. The limitations that made us sound great. I think that's kind of the idea... There's nothing lacking in the amp, But it's the things they didn't do. That really make it sound great..
