Denon AVR-3000G Gold - RARE - Working with Manual & 2-remotes

List is a Denon AVR-3000G Audio / Video Receiver. This receiver was Denon's Flagship Receiver somewhere in the mid-90's. It has Dolby Pro Logic, but it really performs in 2 channel stereo mode. With this unit, Denon paid more attention to stereo sound and surround sound was the afterthought. How do I know this? I've owned many Denon AV receivers before my deep dive into vintage audio more than 10 years ago. I've been debating to part with it for years now because I believe this unit is special with it's superb stereo sound quality, and rare gold appearance, which was an upgrade option to the black-faced AVR-3000 back then. All other Denon AV receivers I owned seemed to favor a plethora of dolby digital surround options over just producing good 2-channel stereo sound. The Denon AVR-5800 I once owned is the exception to the previous statement. If you are looking to use this unit as an excellent 2-channel sterero receiver, which stands out sonically and cosmetically, this could be your unit. Not that the surround sound is bad. It's not, but if Dolby Digital surround and other surround sound technological advances are your priority over 2 channel stereo performance, then there are better choices out there in the market.

This unit is in excellent working condition and very good cosmetic condition despite it's age. there is some minor damage to right rear wood panel. See pics, and you judge for yourself.  Google the Denon AVR-3000/3000G specs. I believe it boasts 110 watt/RMS X 3 front channels + 35 Watts/RMS X 2 Rear Channels, all into 8 ohm loads. One of the pics shows the large toroidal power supply in this unit. The Power filter capacitors in this unit are 15,000uF X 2. Pretty hefty unit I'd say, and it sounds great, but I must continue to part with some of my audio collection. Unit comes with manual, AM antenna, and 2 remotes. Yes, this unit came stock with 2 remotes, one simple and one that controls all Denon equipment including this unit. My opinion, for what it's worth would be to set your tuner stations and just use the simple remote. Sell the other one if it is not important to you.

Restoration/Misc:
- I was able to deOxit the bass, treble, balance, and volume pots (potentiometers), so there is no static present when moving those funtions.

- Unit is complete with nothing missing to my knowledge.

- I checked most all of the inputs for functionality and I will guarantee them all as working ​.​ I checked all speaker outputs as well to verify that all 4 internal amps (Front Left, Front Right, Center, and rear) are working well. Amp operation will depend upon the choosing of the mode, whether it be Stereo, or one of the surround modes.

- For FM stereo reception, I use about 5 ft of wire to each of the 300 ohm terminals with excellent results. FM stereo works great. AM is good too (AM antenna included)

- Follow the manual when connecting speakers, and/or back of the unit.

- For best longevity of this unit, it is recommended to learn how to use DeOxit to keep the internal controls (Volume, bass, treble, & balance knobs on this unit) clean through periodic maintenance.
