Fender unveiled the Meteora in 2018, and with the Player Plus Active Meteora bass, the company has made its first foray into the world of 4-string thump. Like its offset siblings, the Meteora body shape is supremely comfortable to play sitting down, but the swooping double-cut design also offers excellent balance when playing on the stage. As much as we respect the venerated guitars and basses of the past here at Sweetwater, we love the Meteora for being a bold declaration by Fender that they’re dedicated to respecting the past…and reshaping the future!
