For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1966 Mosrite Joe Maphis.
Throughout the 1950's and 1960's, Joe Maphis worked with some of the hottest country music stars from Merle Travis to Johnny Cash and in the 1960's, he landed his signature model with Mosrite. This early Joe Maphis I features a semi-hollow body constructed with Walnut back and sides topped with a “Selected Musical Grade Spruce” top as the catalog listing would call it. The result is a uniquely resonant guitar with solid body looks and a semi-hollow sound. The neck is a very slim C shape topped with a rosewood fingerboard. Further down the body, you'll find the dual P-90 style pickups which have a very lively sound with plenty of growl. The pickups clean up nicely with the tone knob for more mellow passages. This guitar comes with a non-original hardshell case.
