Using original-spec capacitors, resistors, and transformers throughout the entire unit, arranged in the exact topology of the original vintage modules, the BAE 1073 reproduces the legendary 1073 sound to a T. STRAIGHTFORWARD FRONT-PANEL CONTROLS

Even the layout of the BAE 1073 matches the original console module. From left to right, you'll find the DI input jack next to clearly labeled buttons for input switching, phantom power, polarity, and EQ in/out. The five-position high-pass filter includes 50 Hz, 80 Hz, 160 Hz, 300 Hz, and Off settings with an 18 dB-per-octave-slope. Just like vintage modules, the EQ section includes a 35 - 220 Hz low shelf, a midrange band covering 360 Hz - 7.2 kHz, and a high shelf fixed at 12 kHz for dialing in that classic British edge. The Gain control features 5 dB increments up to 80 dB, and the Output knob allows for final level adjustments. There's also an impedance switch with 300Ω and 1,200Ω settings, making it easy to dial in the right settings for any source.
