Here's The Run Down:
This is a super clean example of a USA Made Kramer Nightswan! This IS NOT a reissue. It was obviously purchased, properly stored and played and very little over the years. This one has a "F 8XXX" serial number, which puts it in the 88-89 range. There are only light signs of play (see pics). I don't believe there is anything other than what you can see in the pictures. Flaws to describe would be minor finish swirling, light scratching, better than average wear and a small ding on the top pictured. I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge its overall condition for yourself (see pics). There are NO breaks, repairs, chips, bridge stud issues or damage. All electronics operate as they should, but the neck pickup seems less hot than the bridge. There is very minor scratching on the back, but nothing to classify as buckle rash. The fret wear is extremely minor and needs no attention what so ever. The Original Black Hardware is in excellent condition showing only minimal discoloration. If your looking for a super clean example of a 80's USA Kramer Nightswan in awesome condition, great color & plays awesome to boot, this would make a great addition to your collection!
Some Good Info From Vintage Kramer:
The Kramer Nightswan was a signature model for Vivian Campbell, the lead guitarist in Def Leppard, who also played for Ronnie James Dio, Riverdogs, Whitesnake, and a few other bands here and there in the 80's. The Nightswan actually has an interesting background that most people haven't heard about, that really makes this instrument far from being a Kramer designed instrument.
Nightswan Specs:
*Mahogany Body with non-traditional Strat shape, and lower horn cut out for higher fret access
*Two Humbuckers, Seymour Duncan Full Shred and JB (changed to active EMG's)
*One Volume Knob and a three way selector switch
*Original Floyd Rose Tremolo (black) flush mounted
*24 3/4" scale neck, R1 nut size, diagonal dot inlays, 6105 frets (tall and narrow)
*Ebony Fretboard
*Schaller Tuners
*Non-Traditional Kramer reverse, angled bananna headstock, with big "K" to small "r" logo and Nightswan logo
*Can be set up for extremely low action
This Incredible Kramer USA Nightswan sounds and plays incredible! Although I think its set up great, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility and cost to have it set up to your liking. The neck is straight and the truss rod operates as it should. Freshly and professionally set up.
The Included Original Hard Case is in very good condition overall for a 80s Case. All latches, hinges and handle operate as they should without issue. It will have marks, tears, scuff and other wear and tear from moving it around and use, but still a great original case in very usable/respectable condition.
Everything operates as it should, and has never had, nor does it have any breaks or repairs unless noted above.
