Toad Venom is based on a two transistor circuit like a fuzz face with some tweaks and added tone stack.
There are many tones you get from this pedal it’ll do fuzzrite with the tone rolled back. In-between are many flavors of fuzz face tones.
With the tone max it becomes very aggressive and textured still leaning towards fuzz face but as if you’re playing through an overdriven amp.
Can clean up with the guitar volume. The tone stack is on the output so the volume can be very interactive making even more tonal options.

Vishay precision resistors, Panasonic capacitors. Toshiba 2sb415 transistor. All point to point wired underneath perfboard.
