Yamaha Weddington Classic 1995-1999 - Black Sparkle Metallic

The Weddington was one of the first two designs to come out of the Yamaha Guitar Development in North Hollywood from Rich Lasner. The Weddingtons were made in Japan. . The Weddingtons, named after the street on which YGD was located was a fairly standard single-cutaway two pickup guitar. What set the guitars apart was the unique and innovative electronics and switching creating unique sounds. There are three models in the range the Special, the Classic and the Custom. The Classic was the middle level model as the pictures above demonstrate. This guitar used a new style of set-in neck joint allowing smoother performance even in the upper frets. The pickups were American custom made DiMarzio humbuckers that could used in various configurations by the five way switch. The fret inlays are a unique combination of pearl with a black curved swirl across each one. Looks great, sounds great, and its easy to play! The only defects are a tiny shallow chip in the lower front and some scratches mainly oh back plastic cover and both are pictured above. Ships in a perfectly fit SBK HS Case.
