Back in the 50's when Lap Steels were in their hey day, the Oahu Tonemaster was the lap of choice among professionals. Our LS is a vintage replica of this famous instrument. Our pickup and hardware are identical to the originals. We have even sold these replacement parts to original Tonemaster owners. It includes a bone nut, Kluson-style tuners, ashtray palm cover, and tobacco brown two-tone finish. We have dedicated TKL hardshell case which is form fitted.
Disclaimer: The LS-8 is setup for F6 tuning (DFACDFAC). Other popular tunings such as C6 will require lighter string gauges.
Every instrument receives a 12 point set-up and is thoroughly inspected before shipment. This takes additional time before shipping but insures that your instrument will be received without any flaws or issues and will be ready to play right out of the box!
