Handcrafted in the Berkshire Hills and completed on March 3, 2017, this is Don's Modele Francais, serial number 111. The Francais is constructed of premium quality tone woods such as a rosewood back and sides, spruce top and a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and headstock overlay. The finish is thin and hand rubbed, lending an organic, living quality and feel to the guitar. Of course, this instrument is beautifully resonant and lively, possessing a vibrant and responsive tone. It's very clear and present, yet, wonderfully balanced from low to high. Weighing a feather light 3 lb. 12 oz., the Francais is a delightfully easy guitar to wield and navigate.
