Product details
This a one owner Stick, purchased new from Emmett Chapman in 1976, (which is etched on the back of the instrument). Only 7 Ebony versions were built by Emmet Chapman. According to Stick Enterprises: "A very rare find indeed. This is an ebony 10-string Stick that was made in 1976. We only made 7 Stick instruments out of ebony, so it is good to see this instrument and the pickup housing in such good shape." This has got a super low serial number and has the somewhat rare carved Ebony pickup covers. Being an older version, this one lacks a truss rod, so Chapman Stick recommended light gauge strings, freshly installed by The Bass Shop. Includes a brand new stereo cable from Chapman Stick, as well as the original hardshell case. Of course, as most Stick players know, the foam interior has completely disintegrated, as seen in the included photo. Don't worry it'll ship with the requisite amount of bubble wrap for a safe journey. One of the more unique of this unique instrument. Last thing, it's tuned EADGCF#BEAD, presumably the classic tuning, though other tunings are possible.
