Slingerland/Gibraltar/Remo/Paiste Vintage drumset 1974 Chrome

This is a Custom Made set of Slingerland touring drums, patterned after the Slingerland set that Neil Peart played in the early-mid 1970s. I had this set made for myself in 1974 and I am the original owner. It has been toured extensively and has appeared on several albums that I have recorded, so it’s not a museum piece, it’s a hard-working, good sounding set of drums. The Gibraltar rack system was added more recently, but the drums themselves are in original condition and are in excellent shape. The cast metal spur/leg mounting lugs for the bass drums and floor toms have been drilled out and re-threaded with Helicoil stainless steel threads. A full set of “anvil” type road cases are included, as is a full set of fiberboard “hatbox” cases. The cymbals are all Paiste Alpha Brilliant series purchased in 2011 and are in mint condition. The Gibraltar rack is fully color-coded and memory-locked. There is also a small supply of extra Slingerland Tom mount parts. In addition, there is an Ahead drum rug and an 8’ x 8’ x 16” drum riser on wheels that I could add. The kit has Aquarian heads all around with the exception of Remo heads on the timbales and Roto-Toms. The “industrial” front bass drum heads are “Rockenhedz” and were custom made for this set by Queensryche drummer Scott Rockenfield.
