Fender Lead I made in USA. I believe this is either a 1981 or 1982 model and the body seems to be ash. Not positive. It has a wine red transparent finish that is in very good condition for the year. It does have scratches and little dings , but not cracked and peeling. There is a worn spot on lower back body edge and bottom of lower horn. The fretboard is rosewood and frets still have life in them. It has a maple neck with skunk strip and the original tuners in working order. There is an area on very top of headstock where the gloss coat has chipped. The string ferrels on the back of guitar seem to have been replaced as they are black not chrome. It has had over $400 in work done from a professional luthier including; set up (with new strings), new bone nut, new switches, and frets leveled. Original Seth Lover humbucker pick up, pots, and wiring were cleaned up and looked over. It has a slight ground buzz when touching pickguard (probably needs some kind of shielding). Trying to be as clear as possible of condition, probably to a fault, because overall it is a very nice guitar that plays and sounds great! Include the original hardshell Fender case that is pretty beat up. (Good for storage but probably not road worthy). Thanks for looking.
