For instruments with a screw in whammy bar, this spring can be inserted into the mounting hole prior to installation of the arm. The spring tension helps keep the bar in the desired position during play and minimizes sloppy/loose whammy bar arms.
Tremolo arm spring as featured with Fender's American, American Vintage, American Standard, Classic, Deluxe and Road Worn® series Stratocaster models. Fits most Fender screw-in style tremolos.
