1981 - 1982 Kramer Pacer Special Strathead in Transaparent Red

1981 - 1982 Pacer Special with the original 'Strathead' and early B-series neck plate. Since the 80s, this guitar has taken a fair share of scratches, scrapes and bumps, including some of those in the pics, e.g. surface checking and cracks in finish; a couple-few scrapes and scratches across the top of the body; 2 divits, one on each side of the lower bout; 1 quarter-moon chip at the neck joint treble-side; and 1 surface crack emanating from the high e-string tuner.

Despite the wear on the body, the rest of the guitar is solid. The neck has suffered a few minute dings which are almost unrecognizable. The small chip off the neck heel is non-consequential, and the neck fits snuggly into the body (with or without the splint). The top of the headstock has a few q-tip sized chips, in an oval the diameter of a dime. The neck and fingerboard feel smooth like butter. The Seymour Duncan JBJ (thank you, Marciela) still screams. I took the Volume/Tone knobs off the guitar for the pics, but the knobs come with the guitar - one of which recently chipped and lost the ability to grip the post.

Obviously, this guitar does not come with all original parts. The Schaller minis are awesome, but I am uncertain whether or not they are original (in the least, the prior owner had other tuners installed at one time, as indicated by the filled holes adjacent the Schallers). The Kahler bridge is not original, but the locking system works extraordinarily well - although, the tremolo bar is not included as it was misplaced some time ago. Please note that the body was routed to fit the Kahler (see pics).

The price reflects the guitar in all its glory - a players guitar. This guitar did not sit around on the wall or in the closet (not that there is anything wrong with that). This guitar toured across the pond. The pictures attempt to depict this guitar as-is, flaws and all. If you have any question or concerns, please contact seller before purchasing.
