This is a 1965 Mosrite "Ventures Model" in the super rare "Salesman Special" (aka "Salesman Sample") Red White & Blue Finish. Only 50 of these were ever produced in this finish and they were offered to Mosrite Dealers as a sample model for choosing one of the 3 color finishes offered at the time, those being Red, White or Blue. This guitar is in excellent condition. It has some very slight swirl marks in the paint that can be seen under bright light, but are not really noticable at all. It has a few hairline cracks in the neck binding on the bass side, from the 1st to the 5th frets. The cracking seems to be well cured, and looks to be sturdy with no chances of coming loose, it appears the finish cured to a gloss over the cracks. You can see these in the picture gallery. The guitar sounds big and toneful. Neck pickup is warm with good clarity, and the bridge pickup has some great bite. They sound great clean, and gritty with higher gain. Electronics are clean and work great, zero buzzes, crackles or hums. Frets are in excellent shape, neck is straight, body has zero dings. This one definitley sounds "vintage" it has that sound that makes you think classic 50's-60's era guitar tone. Everyhting functions like new, It is in very great shape. This one comes with a beautiful (non-original) TKL Deluxe Hardshell Case. The case is Finished in an Alligator Brown exterior and a Cherry Red interior. The case is in excellent condition.
