The Maxon OD-880 Soft Distortion is one of the most musical overdrive pedals ever produced.  First released in 1976, the OD-880 was a much more understated overdrive than the D&S series that Maxon released the same year. The pedal produces a mid-gain overdrive with a level of transparency that most modern builders would kill for.
The OD-880 was originally released with the PS-901 power jack on the side before being updated to include an LED and standard 2.1mm DC jack in 1979.
The Sensitivity knob controls the amount of clipping on the circuit and the Level knob controls the output volume.
These are a very important pedal in the history of guitars and a very good addition to any collection!
