This gorgeous 14x7 contoured rainbow ResoLam stave snare drum shell can become your next custom snare. This listing is for us to take the shell you see in the pictures, and turn it into a finished customized snare drum made to order, just for you!

The shell is made from one of our favorite tone wood composite materials, ResoLam. This is a very unique material to build an instrument from. Used widely in the audio industry for its density- it often serves in applications such as high-end speaker and audio cabinets, as well as isolation stands for record players. It consists of hundreds of North American hard maple veneers dyed to various colors, impregnated with an incredibly tough resin, and then all bonded together to make a solid block of material. At HHG, we order this material from our partner who makes it for us, and then we carefully and precisely shape that block into smaller pieces which we then glue into a snare drum shell. The snare drum shell is than machined on a lathe into a perfect cylinder to create one of the world's most interesting sounding and looking snare drums.

If you buy this drum today you get to choose what hardware plating will come with it. Pick from gold, chrome, or black nickel. We can even do powder coated hardware for an additional fee!

It will come with our signature cnc machined lugs, vintage style strainer, diecast butt plate, diecast air vent, diecast HHG badge, Evans Power Center Reverse Dot batter head and a 300 snare side head, 2.3mm triple flange hoops (diecast is an add on option also) and 24 strand Puresound custom pro snare wires, and of course a certificate of authenticity and rarity adhered to the inside of the shell- hand signed by Sam Thurau the lead craftsman at HHG.
