Handmade deep set neck doublecut solid body electric guitar featuring a violin burst finish on a carved curly maple top and a black cherry body. This is our 007 model, designed to provide a versatile guitar with classic looks. The violin burst gives this guitar a classy and understated finished look.
The neck is a five piece laminate of curly maple and cherry. The neck features our deep set construction, which combines the best features of neckthrough and set neck guitars. The fretboard is indian rosewood and features a 12" radius and 23 frets, with blue abalone dot markers on the front and side of the board. The headstock has a cherry veneer that matches the body. The neck has carbon fiber reinforcement, a dual action truss rod, and a magnetic truss rod cover on the headstock, giving it a clean, no-screws look.
This guitar features a Stewmac Golden Age wraparound bridge with adjustable intonation, in a nickel finish. The tuners are nickel finished open back Hipshot Classics. The guitar has a bone nut, cream speed knobs, and cream pickup rings.
The pickups are our own handwound Achievement Unlocked humbuckers. These pickups have been designed to give a classic original PAF tone, with specific modifications to give an emphasis on clarity and presence. They are wound with 41 gauge wire on 49.2mm bobbins and feature short leg solid nickel baseplates and unplated raw nickel covers. The raw covers are brushed and will slowly build a natural patina that will add to the classic look of the guitar. The volume knob features a push-pull switch to coil split the pickups, which gives a jangly low-output single coil tone.
The control cavity cover is grain matched to the body and features magnetic latches to give a clean look and natural to the back of the instrument. The control cavity is shielded, and the pickups feature shielded 4 conductor leads.
The guitar is strung with 10 gauge Ernie Ball strings. It has been finished with a dyed violin burst finish, that fades from deep amber gold on the front to a garnet red on the rest of the instrument. The top of the guitar has been buffed to high gloss, while the rest of the guitar has been left at a semigloss finish, with a satin sheen on the neck to result in a very fast and clean feeling neck under your fretting hand.
The list price includes a hard shell case. The quoted shipping rate is for the continental US - please contact me if you would like to discuss shipping elsewhere, or local pickup if you're in the central New York region.
