This is a truss rod cover from one of my vintage Les Pauls or ES's.  I'm not entirely sure why its there, but it has been in my parts bin for several decades and it's time it made its way back to a guitar.
It's widthmeasures .067 inches to .072 inches depending on where the digital caliper is placed, as there is some residue as seen in the photos on the back and a slight warp in the plastic.  It is 1.065 inches wide, and 2.302 inches tall.
It is identical in appearance and shape to the one on my 1958 Les Paul Standard in my shop photo.
