About This Listing

[ TRIGGER WARNING: This description mentions Russia, Vladimir Putin, and electricity. ]

I accidentally brought back this EU power cable and (in another Reverb listing) a UK cable from a European tour a few years back. I'm hoping someone preparing for their big European tour will want to buy one or both power cables from me.

NOTE: This cable should NOT be used with US / Canadian / Japan / etc. (lower than 200v) rated gear. This cable should ONLY be used with gear that is rated to work with the EU electrical standard, which is as high as 250v! Some gear works with multiple standards. For example, most E-mu synthesizers are rated to work with 100v - 250v standards.

Quality cable -- notice the substantial cord-reliefs around each end/plug.

Photos are of actual item you are considering buying.

Also notice in the photos the cosmetic "marker" coloring put on each plug so some genius "engineer" could figure out what was what -- black marks do not affect performance.

IEC C13 Power Mains Cables are used on MANY Synthesizers / Keyboards / Rack Units / Computers / Etc. For example, many Roland / E-mu / Emu synthesizers/keyboards use the IEC C13 connector. It is the most common power cable for synthesizers, keyboards, rack units, and desktop/tower computers.

This IEC C13 cable is for OVER 90% of E.U. countries (and any other countries which share the EU CEE 7/7 Schuko wall-plug standard). See the below Wikipedia Schuko article for more information -- the "blue" countries are 100% compatible with the CEE 7/7 Schuko wall plug standard, as are the "red" countries using the French standard. This plug is also found throughout most of Russia, in case you want to put on a little performance for Vladimir Putin. He seems like someone who really appreciates American artists!
