The Mark XX-B (or Mark XX-B2 depending on the literature referenced) is an original design and the top of the line model offered from Daion.
Features include a two octave 9-piece maple and rosewood neck with brass dot markers. Brass nut and saddles. Mark XX-Bs Basses had a “P/J” pickup arrangement (split single coil at the neck and a 8 pole single coil at the bridge), a traditional three-way pickup selector, and two volume and two tone controls.
Maintenance performed: body buffed; bridge components completely disassembled, cleaned and hardware oiled; tuners cleaned; fretboard cleaned and oiled; electronics checked and working; new RotoSound flatwound strings.
Being a ~40 year old used vintage instrument the finish will not be perfect - there will be signs of use and imperfections. If you have questions, please ask before purchasing.
We estimate that less than 5% of all Mark XX-Bs were fretless - these are hard to find!
NOTE: The bass has had its share of dings and dents (thus the "good" Reverb rating). It's not a case queen, but rather something you could go out on a gig and not worry. Fretboard is in great condition for its age. There is a finish chip at the bottom of the headstock (see pictures) but you can't feel it while playing. The rest of the back of the neck is great.
Bass comes with a DAION branded hard case (handle has tape around it - see pictures).
