Our Notes: This snare is in very good condition. There are some blemishes and oxidation on the shell. A couple of the wires on the snare is missing. We also installed a new batter head.
Tama designers selected the 5 1/2 x 14 shell diameter because of its wide tonal versatility. Both hi-pitched, piccolo-type tunings and looser low pitch settings can be achieved. Steel shells are preferred by many drummers for their consistency, durability and sonic power. Tama's Swingstar steel shell has even greater durability thanks to a special center ridge.
