Harmony 50th Anniversary Sears Roebuck Golden Jubilee Lap Steel 1936

"In 1936, the Sears Roebuck Company commemorated their 50th Anniversary in business. Sears contracted Harmony to produce a limited edition lap steel guitar called the "Golden Jubilee."

This model was made for only one year and was sold only through the 1936 Sears Roebuck mail order catalog."

Up for sale, on consignment from one of our favorite clients, this vintage cast Harmony Lap Steel is incredibly rare. Wonderfully decked out in art deco, the over all condition on this cosmetically is fantastic for the vintage.

It has had a couple modifications, it currently has a new input jack, modern Steinberger style tuners, a single space humbucker, and a double stack tone/volume knob. We have the original horseshoe pickup but it needs to be rewound - which is available for additional purchase. It is a great fusion of modern parts and vintage.
The instrument over all is killer. It looks fantastic under glass on display and even better you can plug it in and play - currently it is set in a open D.
